Kamlesh has taught chess for CSC at six schools in London - Upton Cross, Coldfall, Devonshire Hill, Chestnuts and St James'. Kamlesh organises Coldfall’s Under 9 and Under 11 teams. They in the Barnet Junior Schools Championships, the English Primary Schools Championships and also get invited to take part in the Lochinver House U9 and U11 tournaments. In 2013 Coldfall's U11 chess team reached the finals of the English Primary Schools Chess Championships and finished sixth which was a fantastic achievement. He has also encouraged the stronger chess players to enter individual tournaments. He also coaches at the Barnet Knights club.


Kamlesh manages the Middlesex U14 team which involves organising inter-county matches at weekends against teams from Kent, Essex, Surrey and Sussex. Kamlesh believes that teaching chess has improved his game. He won the U145 tournament at Golders Green Rapidplay on 13 September 2014. He was joint 3rd in 2013 British Rapidplay (U120), joint 1st in GLCC Summer Rapidplay (U120) and joint 3rd in 2014 British Chess Championships (U120).
