Chess in Schools and Communities was recently recognised for its outstanding work partnering with Schools, Libraries and Prisons in delivering chess.

Receiving the award on behalf of the charity Chief Executive Malcolm Pein said

"The charity is delighted to receive this award that recognises the partnerships we have forged with the public, private and third sectors in the 10 years since our inception. These include not just schools, LEAs’ Councils, Corporates as well as libraries, youth clubs and prisons in our mission to enable everyone to engage with the world’s oldest and most inclusive game, chess. Thanks to IARS we’ve met other potential partners who we look forward to working with. "
