ChessKid ChessKid for Schools Chess in Schools and Communities is delighted to offer all UK primary schools up to 540 individual (schools with larger rolls please email us) 3-month gold memberships of ChessKid free of charge. The memberships will be valid to July 20, 2020. ChessKid is an online chess learning and playing zone designed for ages 5-11. Your pupils who have no prior knowledge of chess will be able to learn how to play the game. Those pupils who already know how to play will be able to develop their skills and challenge their friends, while tracking their improvement. Children have access to instructional videos, 1000s of puzzles and tests and can play other children from all over the world. ChessKid has been built with safeguarding in mind. You can read more about online safety in our ChessKid for Schools guide. Signing up for accounts involves minimal administrative work for a school. CSC will provide a sign-up link through which parents can create their child's account. Schools simply need to advertise this link via email or on the school newsletter. Schools will need to appoint a member of staff, a School ChessKid Representative, to be the main point of contact with CSC. The charity will allocate one of our Regional Coordinators to each school for support and guidance in their chess journey.
