Online Chess Masterclasses

In the Spring Term of 2027, CSC will be running a series of chess masterclasses for some of the most promising young chess players in its Schools' Programme and some additional invitees. These classes are by invitation only and cost £7.50 per session.  

Key details

  • 50-minute interactive sessions delivered on Zoom by an experienced CSC tutor to small groups of children

  • includes a free Gold ChessKid annual membership worth £37

  • participants are expected to actively participate in the tutorials and complete weekly homework tasks.

If you would like your child to be considered for this programme, please:

  1. create a brand new free ChessKid account using this link and ask your child to play at least 10 games against other ChessKids (not bots) by the end of 2026. We will use this data to gauge your child’s chess strength and put them in the appropriate masterclass group.

  2. register your child's place by completing the form below. When completing that form, you must supply the ChessKid username created in Step 1 above, so that we can link the form to your child.

When completing the form, please indicate which days your child is available for the masterclasses. CSC will endeavour to accommodate all requests and will confirm the dates of your child's sessions before the start of the Summer Term 2025.
