CSC in Colchester

CSC recently teamed up with Colchester Chess Club to run a junior tournament in the grand setting of the Moot Hall in Colchester Town Hall. The event was supported by the Mayor of Colchester, Mike Lilley, and Pam Cox, MP for the city, both of whom attended and even tried their hand at a game of chess.

In total, 46 children enjoyed a great day of chess led but CSC tutors Nevil Chan, Satnam Sokhal, and Chris Lane. Eleven local schools were represented, and we are hopeful that the event provides an impetus for further junior chess activities in the area. If you are involved in a school in Colchester, we’d love to hear from you to explain how we can support chess in your school. To contact us, please complete this form.
