Record attendance in Wrexham

A record 128 children took part in the 3rd Wrexham Primary Schools Tournament organised by CSC. The event was kindly hosted by All Saints Primary School in Gresford. For the first time this year, the event was split into two age groups: Years 3 and 4, and Years 5 and 6. In total, 32 teams from 15 different schools competed, with the children keenly following their classmates’ progress from a giant screen in the hall.

In the Years 3 & 4 event, All Saints made full use of their home advantage, All Saints finishing first ahead of Cynddelw Primary. The Years 5 & 6 event was very keenly contested. Madras and Rofft schools challenged throughout, as did Overton St Mary’s. However the winners were Wrexham St Mary’s Primary School who established an early lead and just held on during a tense final two rounds. The full results can be found here.

Our huge thanks to CSC’s Bob Clark for organising and running the event, to CSC’s Chris Lewis for expertly handling all the pairings, and to All Saints Primary for their hospitality. Congratulations to everyone who took part for making the tournament such an enjoyable experience for all.
