Recruiting in South London
It’s the beginning of a school year and one in which we are seeing unprecedented levels of interest in chess from headteachers around the country. The number of schools in our programme has recently reached record levels and we are actively recruiting tutors in many areas to fulfil this demand.
Many of our new tutors this term are university students. The role makes for a rewarding part-time job, and working with children develops many strengths that are much valued by future employers: communication skills, empathy, and of course, patience! We currently have students working for us in London, Bristol, Birmingham, Oxford, Lancashire, and welcome applications from across the country.
With this in mind, CSC Regional Organisers George Horan and Vincent Sagues recently attended the Careers Fair at Greenwich University, meeting potential tutors and explaining more about the role. We look forward to some of these students going through our training process and starting work over the coming weeks and months. If you would like to apply to become a tutor for CSC, please complete this form and one of our colleagues will get in touch.
