Ukrainian school teams storm to international success with CSC support

The annual International School Chess Festival comprising of 71 school teams, took place from 24th to 27th June this year in Iasi, Romania. It featured Ukrainian teams from Odessa and Lviv. Receiving support from CSC they were able to put in some strong performances, with an Odessa team finishing 3rd in Tournament A, and teams from Lviv and Odessa finishing 1st and 2nd in Tournament B.

We were so pleased to be able to offer these hard-working schools support and enable them to seize this opportunity with both hands, as they most certainly did. It is hoped that future editions of the tournament may include teams from Britain.
