Liverpool St Georges Hall Tournament July 2022

After a two-year break, Chess in Schools and Communities were able to stage the 6th Chess in Schools and Communities Merseyside Junior Chess tournament in the beautiful surroundings of St. George Hall on Tuesday 5th July. The charity would like to record its thanks to the Mayor of Liverpool Joanne Andersen for her support.

400 children from 31 schools competed including 16 Secondary and 3 Girls schools from Merseyside. CSC tutors ran two masterclasses between rounds. The prizes were awarded by Councillors Jamie Roberts, Elizabeth Hayden and Laura Robertson-Collins.
