Angela Rayner MP visits Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Primary School in Ashton

Angela is Deputy Leader of the Labour Party, Shadow First Secretary of State, Shadow Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster and Shadow Secretary of State for the Future of Work. We were delighted that she paid a visit to our chess lessons in Ashton. 

Of her visit, Angela said: “I was so impressed with the chess skills on show and it was no surprise to me that I was defeated in my first few games! Chess is a game that can be played by everyone regardless of their age, gender and ability so it’s a great way to bring young people together.”
