CSC is delighted to begin chess activities at Evelina Hospital School. Part of St Thomas' Hospital, the school and its amazing staff work with long-term patients aged 5-18, delivering a wide range of academic and extra-curricular activities. 

A couple of weeks ago we ran a training course for 12 teaching staff, explaining how we teach chess using our unique curriculum, based on minigames and learning through play. It was a really fun afternoon, with some of the adults discovering that chess isn't as scary a game to learn as they'd always thought!

Starting in late November, 2022, one of our talented tutors will be visiting the school weekly, delivering two hours of chess lessons to the students at the school. We look forward to hearing how they get on!
