Chess is thriving at CSC's club at Ingleby Barwick Library. The club caters for players of all ages and abilities and, like all of CSC's library clubs, is completely free. 

The players and volunteers were delighted to be featured on the Gray Philipson Show on BBC Radio Tees recently. CSC volunteer Joe McGinnis was one of several people interviewed. The popularity of the club is a welcome boon for competitive chess in the area - many of our students have progressed to playing matches in the local league for Thornaby Chess Club.
