CSC was delighted to organise the inaugural Westminster Schools Chess Tournament in July 2023. Supported by the local council and held in the magnificent Lord Mayor's Parlour in Westminster City Hall, the tournament featured schools from six local primary schools:

• Gateway Academy
• Soho Parish Primary School
• St Saviour's CE Primary School
• Barrow Hill Junior School
• George Elliot Primary School
• St Peter's Eaton Square CE Primary School

The view from the 19th floor was spectacular, only matched by the fantastic chess moves being played. The games were extremely competitive but all players displayed amazingly sporting behaviour throughout and were a credit to their schools. 

     

After a closely fought contest, St Peter's Eaton Square CE Primary School made Vincent, their CSC tutor, extremely proud by edging out the other teams to take home the winners' trophy.
