Queensbridge Chess Pupils head to Essex

Queensbridge Primary sent a delegation of its 11 chess playing finest to the Delancey UK Chess Challenge Megafinals over in Essex on Sunday. Across 5 different age groups 9 of whom went on to qualify for the next round. 

Every pupil from Queensbridge succeeded beyond expectations, one young pupil came out as champion of the Under 8 section and another came first in the Under 10 section! Their coach Lee Bullock had this to say "All the kids had an amazing day. The last players who were late replacements and I brought them for experience managed to get an amazing 3/6! I am so very proud of them."

Coach Bullock is very confident that after this upcoming round of the Gigafinals, Hackney's finest will be able to secure victories in Terafinals too, so watch this space!
